How do I connect SignWell to my rental software?
You connect it once from the Integrations section of your Car Rental Solutions control panel. After that, the send-for-signature button appears on the rental agreements you create, and you never have to open a separate signing tool to use it.

Are electronically signed rental agreements legally binding?
In the United States, electronic signatures are given the same legal standing as handwritten ones by the federal ESIGN Act and state UETA laws, and comparable rules exist in the EU under eIDAS and in most other countries. SignWell states that documents signed through its platform are compliant with ESIGN, UETA, GDPR, and HIPAA and include a tamper-proof audit trail. Requirements vary by country and contract type, so check the rules that apply where you operate.
Does the renter need an account or an app?
No. The customer receives the agreement and signs it on their own phone, tablet, or computer without installing anything or creating an account—which is what makes remote and curbside pickups practical.
Where do signed contracts end up?
